Have you recently visited the Oregon Coast and found the blue carpet rolled out for you?

Mobi-Mats are game changers for outdoor accessibility, transforming tricky terrains like beaches, parks, and trails into a welcoming space for all. These portable, temporary pathways create stable, easy-to-navigate surfaces for people with mobility challenges—whether they’re using a wheelchair, cane, stroller, or other aids.

The mats are ADA-compliant, portable, and non-slip, creating paths that make the outdoors better for everyone. For areas where Mobi-Mats are installed, visit The Oregon Coast’s website.

You can also find beach-friendly wheelchairs at several locations along the Oregon coast. The chairs have chunky tires that can easily handle sandy terrain. Some beaches have battery-powered chairs that enable users to traverse both beaches and trails, running for six to eight hours on a single charge.

To learn about the locations that offer beach wheelchairs, check out the Movatic app for interactive maps.
