What activities can you enjoy in Southern Oregon? A pleasant walk to Lithia Park can get you moving!

Lithia Park in Ashland, Oregon runs alongside Ashland Creek. In the park, visitors can enjoy trail running, mountain biking, and hiking on a three-mile trail that connects to additional trails and recreation sites. At the entrance, you will find a variety of paved and natural surface paths, along with footbridges for crossing. If you’re a cyclist, there is a 28-mile loop that circles the entire Ashland Creek watershed.

What is special about Lithia Park?

A beautiful Japanese garden features koi fish and duck ponds as its main attractions. During colder weather, the koi fish become less visible as they huddle together to conserve heat and energy, often entering a state of hibernation underwater.

The Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink is a distinctive attraction that offers skating, hockey, and stick-and-puck throughout the week. The ice rink typically opens in November each year. What can I expect and what is there to do?

The general amenities include restrooms, ADA accessibility, drinking fountains, fire pits (which require a reservation), picnic tables, benches, and a playground.

On warmer days, the park features pickleball and tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, a swimming reservoir, picnic areas, and a barbecue stand.

Lithia Park is not dog-friendly, though (except for ADA-compliant service dogs)—you can walk your dog on a leash around the outer edges of Lithia and on the Old Pioneer Street trail.
