Follow the Water is excited to see all of your photos and videos of water this summer! Share memories new and old—a serene kayaking trip to a lake, a raucous day of tubing, or even splashing around the fountains at your local park. We want to see how you connect with water!
On Facebook and Instagram, we invite:
- Photos
- Reels
- Videos
Each photo, reel, or video posted will be considered an entry into a random drawing for prizes. Winners will be notified through Facebook or Instagram messages. Please ensure you are following us and your post/account is not set to private so your submission can be counted.
The campaign runs from June 1, 2024 – August 31, 2024.
How to Enter
- Post a picture of water in Oregon or SW Washington.
- Use the hashtag #FTWConnect2024 with all submitted photos, reels, or videos. Please set your account/posts to public so that we can view your entry!
- Follow us and tag our Facebook or Instagram accounts. Optional: Tag any friends or family that joined you!
- Tag the location where you took the photos or video or note the general whereabouts in your post.
- Submit as many times as you like! But multiple entries will not increase your chances of winning.
Ideas & Prompts
Here are some prompts to get you started!
- Explain the location of your visit. Where are you? Have you been there before or is it your first time?
- Tell us what you saw and your experience of the water. Did you swim, kayak, or appreciate from a distance?
- Share your relationship with the water. What makes you feel connected to this specific lake, river, or stream?
Rules and Conditions
- All photos, reels, or videos must be your own work. Previously published photographs may be submitted as long as you maintain the rights.
- You must have the consent of each person whose face is recognizable in the image.
- All photographs should accurately reflect the destination pictured and represent the scene as it appeared.
- Photos, reels, or videos must not contain nudity, violent or offensive material, or trademarked or copyrighted images.
- Any images captured by a drone must be in compliance with applicable law.
- FTW reserves the right to remove or untag photos for any reason.
- By sharing, you agree to release and hold harmless Follow the Water and their employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the photo campaign, including injuries, loss or damage arising out of allegations or claims of copyright violation.
Rights to photos
Subject to the terms of service for Instagram, Facebook, you will retain all rights to any photos, reels, stories, or videos you submit—including ownership if applicable. By submitting photos, reels, or videos to this campaign, you grant the FTW a nonexclusive right and royalty-free license, in perpetuity, to publish the photos, reels, or videos for FTW's purposes in any format, including but not limited to on our website and social media accounts.
As conditions of this permission, we will credit all photos, reels, or videos in the caption.
