Beyond the Lawn

Beyond the Lawn's goal is to inspire anyone in charge of an outdoor space to try out "naturescaping" practices that protect soil, rivers and streams in Western Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Beyond The Lawn is seeking gardeners in the Willamette Valley and Southwest Washington who are willing to share projects that converted their yards from lots of grass to spaces with some native plants or naturescaping. We are also interested in projects that create small spaces or paved spaces to naturescapes, through depaving or container gardening. We will produce short videos about these projects to encourage others across our region to give naturescaping a try.
