Oswald West State Park offers multiple trails that connect to the Pacific Ocean near Seaside, Oregon. The park spans over 2,000 acres with a sandy beach, lush forests, and rugged cliffs. Oswald has hiking trails for different types of adventure—some trails are short and sweet, and others are longer and more challenging. Through dense forests, hike to a panoramic ocean view by ways of Neahkahnie Mountain. On Short Sands Beach, you can swim, fish, surf, and check out the tide pools. A day-use camping area is available with picnic tables, restrooms, and wheelbarrows. As with any outdoor jaunt, plan ahead and check the weather forecast.
